Knife-Wielding Robber Nabbed After Daring Cash Till Heist in Northfleet

A man has been charged following a brazen knifepoint robbery at a Northfleet shop last weekend. The incident unfolded around 2.15pm on Saturday 9 November 2019 at the Nisa store on 1 Road.

Knife Threat at Nisa: Till Raided by Armed Robber

The suspect reportedly stormed the store and leapt over the counter, wielding a knife. He threatened staff and demanded the till be opened. Eyewitnesses say he grabbed a hefty stash of cash before making a swift getaway.

Suspect Marcus Sherriff Caught and Charged

Marcus Sherriff, 20, was arrested at his Burch Road home the next day, Sunday 10 November. He now faces charges of robbery and carrying a knife in public.

Sherriff appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody. He is set to face Woolwich Crown Court on 9 December for his next hearing.
