Man Charged with Murder of Tesfa Campbell in Battersea Stabbing
Detectives have charged Jerome Bailey, 37, with the fatal stabbing of Tesfa Campbell in Battersea. Bailey, from Streatham, was charged on Monday, 8 July, and is set to appear at 1 Magistrates’ Court the same day.
Fatal Attack on Latchmere Road
Tesfa Campbell, 40, from Croydon, was found stabbed on Latchmere Road, SW11, around 2.45pm on 3 July. He was rushed to hospital but tragically died at 7.40pm.
A post-mortem on 5 July revealed the cause of death as a single stab wound to the abdomen.
Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
Bailey was arrested on suspicion of murder early on 7 July. Three others have also been arrested:
- A 26-year-old woman, arrested for assisting an offender, has been bailed until early August.
- A 23-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, also arrested for assisting an offender, remain under investigation.
The investigation continues as police piece together the events leading to Tesfa Campbell’s tragic death.
