Man, 20, Charged After Screwdriver Attack in Lambeth

A 20-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent following a violent assault in Lambeth on Monday, 27 January 2025.

Brutal Incident on Randall Way

Christian Camilo Henao Cortes, from Alvey Street, Southwark, made a court appearance at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 29 January. Police say he attacked a man in his 50s around 9:30pm, wielding a screwdriver during the assault.

Victim Hospitalised but Injuries Not Life-Threatening

The victim was rushed to hospital. Thankfully, doctors confirmed his injuries were neither life-threatening nor life-changing.

Suspect Held in Custody as Probe Continues

Henao Cortes was arrested at the scene on the night of the attack. Charged the next day, he remains in custody as police carry on with their investigation.
