Halifax Man Jailed for Over a Decade in Shocking Child Sex Abuse Case
Alex Honour Locked Up for 10½ Years
Alex Honour, 25, from Lentilfield Street, Ovenden, Halifax, has been sentenced to 10 and a half years behind bars. The young man was found guilty of multiple horrific sexual offences against nine children. The vile crimes—ranging from child rape to incitement—took place between 2014 and 2019, with all victims under 18 at the time.
Brave Victims Speak Out
The twisted case surfaced in 2019 when a victim came forward, triggering an investigation by the Calderdale Child Vulnerability Exploitation Team. Detectives linked this report to a previous 2017 complaint. They soon uncovered a total of nine victims subjected to Honour’s abuse. The authorities arrested Honour in October 2020, and by April 2022, he was charged with 35 offences.

Detective Inspector Clare Turner added: “DC Raine’s dedication was vital in bringing this case to justice. His hard work was recognised by Judge Rose during sentencing.”
