Bag Snatch Horror in Westbrook Avenue
Ronald Murtagh, 43, has been charged over a shocking bag snatch in Margate. The incident happened around midnight on Sunday, 23 June, when a woman in her 20s had her handbag ripped from her on Westbrook Avenue. The stolen bag contained her purse, keys, and vital medication.
Double Trouble: Theft Charge Added
Not only is Murtagh facing robbery charges, but he’s also been charged with shop theft from The Centre, Margate, dated 12 July 2019. Police arrested the 43-year-old, who has no fixed address, on Monday, 15 July.
Court Date Set
Murtagh is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 16 July 2019. The community awaits justice after a string of offences.
