Coke and heroin dealer caged for 2½ years in Chatham crackdown!
Benjamin Friar, 31, a no fixed address hustler, has been locked up after trafficking crack cocaine and heroin in Chatham. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate nabbed him on 28 March 2018 during a major sting.
Guilty plea seals his fate
Friar faced six charges – three for crack cocaine and three for heroin supply, tied to separate busts on High Street in November 2017. He admitted every count and was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on 7 August 2018 to two-and-a-half years behind bars.
Police vow to target street dealers
Detective Inspector Gary Scarfe said: “Kent Police is committed to stamping out the supply of class A drugs and prosecuting those who bring such harmful substances onto our streets. Benjamin Friar made money by selling cocaine and heroin on the streets of Chatham, often to people whose lives are being torn apart by addiction. He has directly contributed to the harm they are suffering and will spend the next two-and-a-half years in prison as a result.”
