£35 Million Worth of Class A Drugs Seized in Eastbourne Sting

Massive Drug Haul Blocked from London Streets

Scotland Yard detectives swooped on Eastbourne in a major crackdown, seizing an estimated £35 million worth of Class A drugs before they hit the black market.

Operation Backed by National Crime Agency and Border Force

The huge shipment was stopped thanks to a joint operation involving the National Crime Agency, Border Force, and specialist Met officers. The drugs were bound for London, set to be distributed by notorious ‘city lines’ gangs — 80% of whom carry serious criminal records.

Detective Thanks Partner Agencies

“We are committed to tackling the devastating impact of Class A drugs on our communities,” said Detective Inspector Lydia Stephens from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command. “I’d like to thank our colleagues from the National Crime Agency and Border Force for their vital support.”
