Screams Heard Outside Old Exchange on Night of Nikki’s Death
Screams echoed from the Old Exchange building on the evening Nikki died, the court was told on Tuesday. A witness living nearby described hearing a “quite powerful scream” coming from across the street, followed minutes later by another scream from what sounded like the same girl.

Another eyewitness spotted her and colleagues passing the rundown building when they heard breaking wood and eerie sounds – like a cat wailing or the howling wind. The chilling noises left them unsettled.
Man and Girl Spotted Walking Together Before Tragedy
Earlier that night, a witness saw a young girl walking with a man who looked like her father. The girl would occasionally lag behind then skip forward, with no signs of trouble. The man was about 27 or 28 years old, roughly 5ft 8ins tall, with dark hair in a skinhead style growing out.
CCTV Shows Adult Leading Child Before Fatal Attack
The jury has already viewed CCTV footage revealing Nikki walking with an adult, the apparent killer, who walked ahead of her. The trial is still ongoing.
