Man Robbed of Car Before Crashing in London Road Chaos
A brazen robbery turned violent on London Road at 4.50pm last Saturday (11 December) when a man was forced out of his car. The stolen vehicle crashed in a two-car collision shortly after.
No Serious Injuries but Trouble Mounts
Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported after the smash. But the nightmare didn’t end there. Just nearby, police received reports of a second attempted car robbery.
Suspect Charged and Back in Court
John Brazil, 32, from Ickham, Canterbury, was charged with robbery, attempted robbery, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, and dangerous driving. He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 December and was remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on 10 January 2022.
Another Man Arrested and Released on Bail
A 45-year-old man from Sittingbourne was also arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on bail until 6 January 2022 while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
