Fatal Collision Claims Life of Weymouth Woman

Dorset Police were called to Lynch Lane at 9.41am on Monday, 16 November 2020 following a horror crash involving a pedestrian and a lorry. The victim, 62-year-old Sarah Lewis from Weymouth, sadly died at the scene.

Family Pays Tribute to Emergency Services and Brave Witnesses

At an inquest opened on Friday 27 November, Sarah’s family expressed their heartbreak and thanked emergency crews for their tireless efforts in such traumatic circumstances. They also praised witnesses who risked their own safety to comfort Sarah before paramedics arrived.

Police Plea for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Police Constable Leanne Steedman of the traffic unit urged anyone who saw the collision or was driving nearby with dashcam footage to come forward. “Our thoughts remain with Sarah’s family at this difficult time,” she said.
