£15,000 Cash Haul Shuts Down Major ‘MJ’ County Line Drug Gang
Police hit a Cherry Orchard Drive, Rainham pad during a dawn raid on 22 August 2022, uncovering a stash of £15,000 hidden in a shoebox under the bed. The cash haul ended the run of Simeon Koroma, 24, who has now been slammed with a hefty prison sentence for masterminding the notorious ‘MJ’ county line drug network.
County Line Boss Sent Down Alongside Runners and Middleman
- Simeon Koroma jailed for five years and nine months at Maidstone Crown Court on 27 February 2023.
- Middleman Justin Duyile, 19, slapped with two years and two months behind bars.
- Runner Curtis Davies, 30, hit with one year and eight months in prison.
- Natalie Riley, 45, handed a two-year suspended sentence and 250 hours unpaid work.
Runners Caught Red-Handed
Just weeks before the raid, on 21 July 2022, officers spotted Davies closing a deal on Grange Road. A stop revealed he was packing drug wraps, a phone, and cash while driving Riley’s car. Searches at a nearby Greenhithe address found Riley and Duyile surrounded by drug gear — weighing scales, clingfilm, ‘tick’ lists, and multiple mobile phones loaded with dealer messages.
Drug Network Busted from Top to Bottom
Police revealed Koroma was the ring leader. CCTV showed him scoring phone credit to run the line smoothly. He directed Duyile, who passed on orders to Davies and Riley, the street-level sellers. All four pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and crack cocaine. Davies faced additional charges including possession with intent to supply, breaching a restraining order, and driving without a licence.
PC Rebecca James said: “The ‘MJ’ drug network was very active across Medway. We’ve worked tirelessly to bring all involved to justice. Drugs coming in from London damaged vulnerable users and their communities. We will keep fighting to rid our streets of this poisonous trade.”
