Camden Shooting: Five Arrests Made After Four Injured in BBQ Gun Attack

Police have made a fifth arrest in the shocking Camden shooting that left four people injured at a local BBQ. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday, 20 August, as the investigation heats up.

Timeline of Arrests in Camden Shooting Probe

  • Wednesday 16 August: Two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, arrested. The 16-year-old faces charges including possession of an offensive weapon, robbery, and possession of a firearm with intent. The 17-year-old is suspected of possession with intent to supply and firearm possession.
  • Tuesday 17 August: A 22-year-old man arrested for possession of a firearm with intent.
  • Thursday 19 August: Another 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.
  • Friday 20 August: Latest arrest of a 21-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.

All five suspects have been bailed until mid-September while police continue their investigation.

Gunshots Fired into Crowd at Camden BBQ

The terrifying incident unfolded shortly before 10:10pm on Saturday 14 August in Clarence Gardens, NW1. A large crowd was enjoying a community BBQ when up to five unknown men arrived and opened fire, hitting four innocent people.

Emergency services raced to the scene, including armed police and London Ambulance Service paramedics.

Victims: Teen Girl and Three Adults Injured

  • 17-year-old girl
  • Two women, aged 19 and 73
  • 28-year-old man

One victim has been discharged from hospital. The other three remain hospitalised but their injuries are not life-threatening.
