Orpington Man Jailed for Raping 12-Year-Old in Car After Sick Six-Week Grooming Spree

Shocking Crime Revealed

Joshua Brown, 34, from Robin Hood Green, Orpington, has been sentenced to nine years behind bars for raping a 12-year-old schoolgirl in the back of his car. The vile assault came after he groomed the girl over six weeks, bombarding her with thousands of texts despite knowing her young age.

Six Weeks of Grooming Turned Grossly Criminal

Brown got the girl’s number through a mutual acquaintance and immediately started texting her. Their conversations went on for weeks, with Brown fully aware of her age. Yet he continued, even referencing how illegal and dangerous his actions were.

When the moment came, Brown travelled to meet her and proceeded to rape the child in his car. The victim bravely confided in her mother, who reported the crime to the police.

Police Crack Down With Evidence and Arrest

The Metropolitan Police traced Brown via his car details and arrested him. Initially denying everything, Brown was caught out when investigators uncovered damning texts on both phones proving his guilt beyond doubt.
