Early morning drama in Tunbridge Wells as burglar caught red-handed with power tools and drugs.

Police Called to Summervale Road Break-In

Officers were scrambled to Summervale Road at 7.30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 3, after reports of property damage.

They spotted a man loitering by a wheelie bin outside a property. Curious, the cops checked the bin and found a stash of power tools inside.

Forced Entry Uncovered at Renovation Site

Further investigation led officers to a nearby house under renovation. The front door had clearly been forced open.

They also found a small amount of drugs on the suspect.

Suspect Arrested and Charged

Kalvin Tiernan, 26, from Rowan Tree Road, Tunbridge Wells, was arrested on the spot.

He’s now charged with burglary and drug possession.

Tiernan has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on August 4.
