Cop Fired Without Warning Over Shocking Misconduct Claims
A police constable has been sacked immediately after a misconduct hearing found serious breaches of professional standards.
PC Caught Out on Multiple Charges
PC Rachid Taghelite, from the Central West Command Unit, faced tough allegations at a hearing that wrapped up on 17 September. He was accused of breaking key codes around authority, respect, duties, honesty, and conduct.
Victim Neglected, Rules Broken
Back in 2018, at a victim’s home, Taghelite reportedly showed no compassion or empathy. He failed to consider the victim’s vulnerability and botched the investigation, leaving the complaint inaccurately recorded.
Evidence of Dishonesty Emerges
In a bizarre twist, PC Taghelite was caught helping himself to food without permission during a search at a private address in March 2018. The panel concluded these actions were grossly unprofessional.
After reviewing all the evidence, the misconduct panel ruled that Taghelite’s behaviour shattered trust in the police force, leading to his swift dismissal.
