Man Stabbed in Wapping Cyclist Attack: Police Hunt Key Witness
A 29-year-old man was left with potentially life-changing injuries after a brutal stabbing in Wapping on Saturday night. The victim was smoking outside Green Bank, E1 around 10.30pm when three men on bicycles approached and attacked him without warning.
He suffered a deep cut to his leg that damaged his femoral artery – a serious injury requiring urgent hospital care. The London Ambulance Service rushed him to hospital where he remains in recovery.
CCTV Released: Police Seek Crucial Witness
Police have released CCTV images showing the three cyclists involved. They also want to trace a man seen walking along Green Bank pulling a wheeled bag. Detectives believe he may have witnessed the attack or seen the suspects.
“Although these CCTV stills are not great in quality, they may jog someone’s memory about the events of that evening,” said Detective Constable Ian Arrowsmith. “I am particularly keen to trace the man wheeling a bag behind him – he could hold vital information to help us catch those responsible for this vicious attack.”
