Man Seriously Assaulted in New Rossington – Three Arrested

Emergency services raced to Grange Road, New Rossington at 8.50am on Thursday after reports of a serious assault. A 40-year-old man was found with severe injuries and rushed to hospital. He remains in critical condition.

Three Arrests Made

  • A 44-year-old man from Doncaster was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is still in police custody.
  • A 49-year-old Doncaster man, also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, has been released on police bail.
  • A 41-year-old Doncaster woman, detained on suspicion of assisting an offender, is likewise out on police bail.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

“Enquiries are ongoing to build a full picture of the circumstances surrounding this incident,” said Detective Inspector Thomas Bright.

Police have upped patrols in the area and are urging anyone who was near Grange Road from 8.30am on Thursday to come forward. DI Bright added:

“Any information, no matter how small, could prove vital. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage.”
