Police swooped on a car in Brookfield Gardens, Arnold, seizing a baseball bat and a police-style baton. The dramatic raid came after reports of three men trying to force another man into a vehicle just after 10.20am on Thursday, 30 March 2023.
Armed Suspect Arrested
Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon in public. He was later released on bail while inquiries continue.
Police Hunt for More Suspects
Inspector Simon Spooner from Nottinghamshire Police said, “Preventing and reducing the harm caused by dangerous weapons is a priority for the force. We will always act tough on anyone involved in this kind of crime.”
He added that police are working hard to track down other men involved and urged witnesses to come forward.
