Hit-and-Run Horror in Swindon: Pedestrian Left Fighting for Life
Police launch urgent appeal after a stolen car smashes into a man before fleeing the scene in Swindon.
Stolen Vauxhall Hits Man in Broad Daylight
On Thursday, January 30, at around 3:35 PM, a green Vauxhall Adam Glam, stolen overnight from Swindon’s Old Town, was involved in a shocking hit-and-run at the junction of Bay Tree Court and Pinehurst Road.
The car slammed into a man in his 40s, leaving him with potentially life-changing injuries. The vehicle was later found abandoned near the crash site.
Two Suspects Flee on Foot
- Two white males jumped out and ran towards Hornbeam Court.
- One wore blue jeans and a white top; the other was all in black.
- One had a beard; the other wore a hat.
Police Hunt Witnesses and CCTV
Sergeant James Barrett from the Roads Policing Unit pleaded for information. He said:
“This was a very serious collision which has left the pedestrian with significant injuries. We believe there are more people who may have either witnessed the collision or seen the suspects fleeing the scene.”
“We also urge residents in the area to check their Ring doorbells or CCTV footage for any images of the suspects or the vehicle.”
