Polish Man Charged with Murder in East London Stabbing

Dawid Wycik, 22, a Polish national with no fixed address, has been charged following a fatal stabbing in East London. He is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 January.

Fatal Stabbing in Mount Pleasant Lane

Police were called to a disturbance at a residential property on Mount Pleasant Lane, E5, just before midnight on Friday, 24 January. Officers and paramedics found a man in his 60s, believed to be Polish, suffering from stab wounds inside the home.

Despite emergency efforts, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Police are confident they know his identity but are waiting for formal confirmation. A post-mortem will be arranged soon.

Suspect Arrested at Scene

The 22-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and has now been formally charged. Sources say the victim and suspect were known to each other, though not related.
