Charity Boxes Stolen in Sneinton Break-In
Two charity boxes were nicked during a late-night break-in at Pepe’s Piri Piri on Sneinton Dale on 13 March 2022. The brazen theft has left the community rattled.
Separate Burglary Sees Laptop Stolen
Less than a month later, police were called to a house on Manor Street, Sneinton, on 6 April 2022 after reports of a laptop stolen in another break-in. The connection between the two crimes became clear as the investigation unfolded.
Man Arrested Over Burglary and Assault
Officers arrested 32-year-old Ashleigh Mason, of no fixed address, linking him to both burglaries. Mason also faces charges of assaulting an emergency worker after allegedly kicking a police officer while in custody.
He’s currently remanded in custody and set to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 17 May 2022.
