Armed Drama at Watford Shopping Centre
A Slough man has been charged after pulling a gun in a shocking incident at Watford’s Atria Shopping Centre. CCTV operators caught the moment a man allegedly brandished a firearm and threatened another man, sparking a fast police response.
Gun and Knife Found After Chase
The drama unfolded on September 24 when three men were involved in an altercation inside the shopping centre. Two men, one reportedly armed with a gun, pointed the weapon at the third, who managed to flee the scene.
The victim, a man in his 20s, escaped unharmed and alerted officers. After reviewing CCTV footage, police tracked the suspect to a nearby Sainsbury’s car park on Albert Road South. There, they arrested 23-year-old Mohammed Al-Saadi from Eltham Avenue, Slough, and found a discarded gun under a vehicle.
Charged and Remanded
Al-Saadi has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, and possession of a knife or bladed article. He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on September 26 and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on October 24.
