Young Dealer Locked Up for Over Two Years in Eastbourne Drug Crackdown

A 19-year-old drug dealer, Jay Farley, has been sentenced to two years and two months in prison for pushing Class A and B drugs across Eastbourne.

Bulk Messages Blow the Lid on County Lines Operation

Farley ran his operation from June 2022 to February 2023. He bombarded customers with bulk advertising texts on mobile phones, arranging deals for cannabis and cocaine.

He was arrested on February 8 after undercover work revealed his supply plans. A search of his home uncovered phones linked directly to his drug trafficking activities.

Chief Inspector Praises Cross-Force Teamwork

“Farley came to the police’s attention through bulk advertising messages,” said Chief Inspector Di Lewis. “A search at his home found mobile phones tied to his drug dealing. This case proves how our partnership with the Metropolitan Police is crucial to tackling county lines. It also shows our commitment to catching offenders and stopping drug supply in Eastbourne, protecting our communities from harm.”
