Armed Robbery Shakes Belfast Off-Licence
Police in Belfast are hunting a masked thug who violently robbed an off-licence on Crumlin Road last Saturday evening. The terrifying raid happened at 7.45pm on October 5, leaving staff members shaken and one with a minor injury.
Knife-Wielding Robber Demands Cash
Detective Sergeant McAllister revealed the suspect, dressed all in black with his face partially covered, stormed into the shop armed with a knife. He threatened a staff member behind the till, forcing him to open it. The robber made off with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The thug didn’t stop there. He shoved another employee and caused a small cut to a third before fleeing on foot.
“This would have been a terrifying ordeal,” said Detective Sergeant McAllister. “Thankfully, the injuries were not serious, but the staff were understandably left shaken.”
Police Appeal for Crucial Witnesses
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have launched a full investigation. Detective Sergeant McAllister is urging locals to check any doorbell, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the area that could help catch the crook.
