Shoplifting Nightmare Ends as Jolene White Jailed and Banned from Major Stations
A notorious shoplifter has finally been stopped after a month-long spree across Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. Jolene White, 42, from Ashley Road, Finsbury Park, admitted to multiple thefts, assault, and public order offences. She’s been sentenced to 16 weeks behind bars and slapped with a three-year ban from the stations.
Violence and Brazen Returns Spark Alarm
White didn’t just steal—she attacked a security guard and fled. Shockingly, she returned just three days later to the same store, trying to lift more goods. On New Year’s Day, staff at Oliver Bonas caught her red-handed, with a vigilant security team spotting the theft.
Despite being arrested and released on bail, White’s desperate thefts didn’t stop. She struck again at Oliver Bonas and other shops, using threats and violence against staff, leaving workers shaken and on edge.
Detective Issues Warning as White Faces Criminal Behaviour Order
“Jolene White’s actions caused serious distress to retail staff,” said Detective Constable Kerri Docherty, lead investigator. “Her imprisonment and the Criminal Behaviour Order should deter future offending. Any breach will have serious consequences.”
Retailers Breathe a Sigh of Relief
White’s sentencing is hailed as a victory for retailers in the busy Kings Cross and St Pancras hubs. With her ban firmly in place and a criminal conviction now on record, her reign of terror over these stations’ shops is expected to be over for good.
