Romanian Nurse Jailed for Nine Years in Swiss Sex Crime Shake-Up
A Romanian male nurse has been hit with a hefty nine-year jail sentence after a Swiss court found him guilty of multiple serious sexual offences. The crimes include rape, attempted rape, and coercion.
Prison Time Increased and 15-Year Expulsion Ordered
The canton Valais court ramped up his sentence from eight to nine years on appeal. On top of that, he’s been ordered to leave Switzerland for 15 years. The nurse has consistently denied all charges.
Years of Abuse, Many Victims
The attacks stretched from 2015 right through to 2023. They happened both while the defendant was on hospital duty and during outings with victims. Prosecutors slammed him as a “sexual predator” preying on multiple vulnerable women.
