Second Suspect Charged Over Leshawn Williams’ Murder in Newham
Detectives have charged a second man in the brutal killing of Leshawn Williams in Newham. Jerome 1, also known as Thomas, 28, from Gatcombe Road, E16, was arrested after voluntarily attending a south London police station on Monday, 13 January.
He now faces murder charges alongside possession of a bladed article. Jerome is set to appear in court on Tuesday, 14 January, with more details due.
Leshawn Williams Stabbed to Death in East London
Leshawn, 29, was found fatally stabbed in Hanameel Street, E16, shortly after 2am on 21 December. Emergency services rushed to the scene following calls reporting a man stabbed, but he was pronounced dead soon after arrival.
Another Related Suspect Already Charged
Michael Hyde, 28, of Mistletoe Court, Old Town, swindon/" title="Swindon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Swindon, was charged with Leshawn’s murder on Thursday, 9 January. He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court the following day and then at the Old Bailey on Monday, 13 January.
Both Jerome and Michael are related, though details on their exact connection remain undisclosed.
