‘Blue’ on the Run: Sussex Man Busted for Shocking Crimes Against Women and Kids
A 34-year-old man known as Shane Gibbs, aka ‘Blue’, is now behind bars facing a slew of serious charges. Homeless and notorious in Sussex, he’s accused of horrific crimes targeting women and children.
Grim Charges Stack Up Against ‘Blue’
- Rape of a woman
- Child abduction
- Intentional strangulation
- Sexual activity with a minor aged 13-15
- Assault
- Possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs
The alleged offences first came to light on December 28 and involve people known to Gibbs.
Swift Police Action, Court Date Set
Gibbs is locked up and set to appear at Lewes Crown Court on February 5.
Detective Superintendent Miles Ockwell said: “We have been able to swiftly bring an individual into custody and are not currently looking for any other suspects about these allegations.
“A wide-ranging investigation is ongoing into some lines of enquiry as we try to understand the full scale of Gibbs’ alleged offending.
“We are asking anyone who has any information that could assist with our enquiries to contact police immediately, quoting serial 655 of 7/1.”
