Man Charged Over Brutal Tonbridge Pub Beating
Detectives have charged a man after a savage assault that left a victim with serious head injuries in Tonbridge.
Violent Attack in Station 1 Pub
The shocking attack happened just after 9.40pm on 3 December 2022 inside the Station 1 pub on Barden Road. The victim was repeatedly beaten with two pint glasses during the savage assault.
Victim Left Unconscious and Seriously Injured
Reports say the suspect first knocked the man to the floor before continuing the brutal attack while the victim lay unconscious. The victim suffered a brain bleed, broken teeth, and fractured ribs. He was rushed to hospital with multiple injuries.
Sonny Coster Faces Grievous Bodily Harm Charges
Sonny Coster, 21, from Scott Road, Tonbridge, was arrested on 28 January 2023. He was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on 1 March. Coster was remanded in custody, with his next court date yet to be announced.
