A 17-year-old lad was nabbed just minutes after a break-in in Maidstone. Officers raced to Lambert Drive shortly before 1:00 AM on Monday, 6 January, after reports of suspicious activity and damage to a bike storage container’s entrance.
Tools of the Trade Seized
At 1:10 AM, cops spotted the teenager on nearby Sutton Road. A search revealed a balaclava tucked in his pocket and a rucksack packed with burglary tools — including an angle grinder and bolt croppers.
Locked Up and Bailed
The youngster was arrested on charges of burglary and being equipped for theft. He’s now out on bail with strict conditions while police continue their enquiries.
