Teen Killer on Super Scooter Slays Man Outside Nightclub
Cold-Blooded Murder Outside Catford Club
A 19-year-old has been found guilty of shooting a man dead in a brutal attack outside Silks nightclub in Catford. Tyler Roberts-Emmanuel fatally shot 30-year-old Shaquille Graham in the back of the neck in the early hours of March 10 last year.
The killing was cold and calculated, with Roberts-Emmanuel arriving on a powerful Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 scooter — dubbed a “super scooter” — before stalking his victim.
Premeditated Hunt on High-Powered Scooter
Roberts-Emmanuel had done a “dummy run” hours earlier, leaving his grandmother’s Peckham home to prepare. Prosecutor Joel Smith KC revealed how the teen circled the area, waiting opposite the club.
“When he arrived, he circled the area, apparently looking for a target. He lay in wait opposite the club. Twenty minutes later, he saw Mr Graham and moved.”
“He rode directly to Mr Graham, and stopped a few paces away. He got off the scooter, walked to Mr Graham and without pause, shot him through the throat.”
“Mr Graham never stood a chance. He collapsed and died immediately.”
Weapon Never Found But CCTV Ties Killer to Scene
Despite the brutality, the motive remains a mystery. The murder weapon was never recovered, but forensic experts linked the bullet and casing to a Carlos Arms self-loading pistol. CCTV captured Roberts-Emmanuel nearby days earlier carrying a firearm believed to be the same gun.
Roberts-Emmanuel pleaded not guilty, claiming someone else with access to the Peckham address may have been involved.
Justice Served After Gruelling Jury Deliberation
Following 16 hours and 23 minutes of deliberation, the jury returned a unanimous guilty verdict. Cheers and tears erupted from Shaquille Graham’s relatives in the courtroom.
Roberts-Emmanuel, who has no fixed address, has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on April 4.
