Three More Men Charged Over PC Andrew Harper’s Murder

Three more suspects have been charged in connection with the tragic death of PC Andrew Harper. The latest arrests ramp up the pressure on the investigation into the officer’s fatal shooting during a quad bike theft last August.

New Charges Unveiled

Chief Crown Prosecutor Jaswant Narwal confirmed valley-police/" title="Thames Valley Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Thames Valley Police have charged Henry Long, 18, and two unnamed 17-year-olds with murder and conspiracy to steal a quad bike. The incident took place on 15 August 2019 in Berkshire. Thomas King, 21, has also been charged with conspiracy to steal the same quad bike.

“As the investigation into PC Andrew Harper’s death continues, the CPS has authorised these charges,” said Narwal. “It is crucial that reporting does not prejudice the ongoing trial.”

Legal Proceedings Underway

  • Henry Long and two 17-year-olds remain in custody.
  • Thomas King faces charges but details of his custody status remain unreported.
  • They will appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 19 September 2019 at 10am.

Previously, Jed Foster, also from Reading, appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 20 August 2019. He is charged with murder and theft of the quad bike from the same 15 August incident.
