Hackney Twins and Pal Jailed for Brutal Knife Attack

Steven Allison, 18, and his twin brother Bradley Allison, also 18, from Moreton Close, Hackney, have been locked up for a savage stabbing. Steven got five years after pleading guilty to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Bradley was handed five years and seven months for the same crime.

The pair pleaded guilty back in February 2021 at the Old Bailey.

Third Attacker Also Sentenced

Teaming up with the twins was 18-year-old Ti-Reece Taylor of Daubeney Road, Hackney. He copped a four-year six-month sentence after his guilty plea in January 2021, also at the Old Bailey.

Knife Rampage Leaves Teen Fighting for Life

The horrifying attack struck at around 6:30pm on Monday, 6 April 2020, near Woodberry Down, close to Finsbury Park. Witnesses reported seeing men darting about in dark tracksuits, brandishing knives.

One passer-by recalled stumbling upon the victim’s distressed friends along the canal path after the brutal stabbing.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was found stabbed six times with critical abdominal wounds. Emergency services rushed to the scene, with police and three off-duty doctors giving vital first aid.

He was airlifted to an East London hospital, where medics fought to save his life.

Evidence and Investigation Uncover Revenge Attack

  • Officers found a knife broken in two at the scene and later recovered the other half in a Hackney property.
  • Forensic tests confirmed both halves belonged to the same murder weapon.
  • Clothes worn by the attackers during the incident were also seized.
  • Police analysed related drill music videos, revealing this was a revenge hit against a rival gang.
  • Bradley Allison’s phone contained song lyrics referencing the broken knife and naming two suspects.

Detective Constable Luke Martinez of the Central East Gangs Taskforce North said: “In a matter of minutes the victim was horrifically stabbed multiple times and left critically injured on the street. This attack could have easily resulted in murder, and the victim was extremely lucky to survive.

“The sentences received today should send out a clear message; if you choose to participate in the gang lifestyle and aggressively attack others, expect a lengthy prison sentence. These young men are now paying the price for their choices.”
