Violent Assault in Early Morning Robbery
The shocking attack happened just after 9am on Sunday, 2 February, when emergency services found the seriously injured 17-year-old in a Harlow car park. He had a fractured skull after being violently forced off his e-bike, which thieves then stole.
The victim said he was followed by a car flashing its headlights before three men attacked. The getaway vehicle was stolen and fitted with cloned number plates.
Investigation Leads to Swift Arrests
Police linked the crime to a daring escape in the cloned car. At one suspect’s home, a missing e-bike from a separate burglary was recovered.
Jason Millard was arrested on 10 March, with Charlie Farrugia taken the next day.
Family and Police React to Sentencing
“No sentence would be good enough to express the pain and suffering these evil people have caused our family. They tried to destroy his life,” said the victim’s family.
Detective Inspector Stewart Eastbrook called the attack “cowardly” and confirmed the victim will need ongoing medical treatment.
“Thanks to the victim and family for their cooperation,” he added, “and to my team for their dedication in bringing justice.”
