Gravesend Drug Trio Locked Up for Over 20 Years

County Lines Boss and Runners Behind Bars

Alex Oni masterminded multiple county lines drug operations centred in Gravesend. His callous network forced vulnerable people, including a 12-year-old boy, to push heroin and crack cocaine. Alongside Oni, Adrian Bodzioch and Deividas Sakalauskas acted as runners, transporting drugs from London into north Kent.

All three faced justice at Woolwich Crown Court on Thursday, 22 April 2021, where they were sentenced to a combined total of more than 20 years behind bars.

Dawn Raid Cracks Drug Network

The gang’s reign ran from January to September 2019, until Oni was caught during a dramatic dawn raid on his Gravesend home in Albion Terrace on 25 September. Police evidence from mobile phones revealed Oni as the main organiser. Shocking details exposed how the network used a 12-year-old boy to deal drugs. Thankfully, Kent Police and partner agencies secured the youngster’s safety.

Co-Conspirators Nabbed Carrying Crack and Heroin

Sakalauskas was first stopped by police in February 2019 in Gravesend with drugs and a burner phone. Although initially released awaiting forensic tests, he was later rearrested in June driving a Mercedes stashing heroin and crack in the centre console.

Bodzioch was busted in September driving an Audi registered to Oni. His phone showed regular contact with Oni, while a search of his home uncovered a device able to spray noxious liquid—a terrifying weapon.

Harsh Sentences for Ruthless Dealers

  • Oni, 31, of Northfleet, found guilty of conspiring to supply heroin and crack cocaine, was jailed for 11 years and 9 months.
  • Bodzioch, 22, admitted conspiracy and possessing a noxious weapon, sentenced to 4 years and 10 months.
  • Sakalauskas, 20, pleaded guilty to possession with intent, sentenced to 3 years and 8 months.

“Oni in particular has shown himself to be a remorseless offender who is willing to manipulate vulnerable people into supplying class A drugs. Indeed, he was so lacking in morals that his network groomed a 12-year-old boy into supplying drugs on his behalf,” said Detective Sergeant Andy Leventis.

“These three men’s efforts to supply class A drugs have caused widespread misery and it is entirely appropriate that they have been imprisoned. Anyone thinking of bringing drugs into Kent can expect the same fate.”

Five additional men linked to the network were jailed earlier in 2019 and 2020, receiving a total of over 17 years behind bars. Kent Police continue to crack down hard on drugs terrorising local communities.
