Drug Dealers Jailed for Over a Decade in Tough Crackdown
Three men were handed a combined 10-plus years behind bars at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 1 December. All had earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Sentences Delivered: Crack, Heroin, and Cocaine Dealers Locked Up
- Jorrell Ankrah, 27, of Boulevard Drive, NW9, got four years for dealing crack and heroin.
- Kevin Moata, 30, with no fixed address, was sentenced to three years and two months for the same offence.
- Douglas Pereira, 20, from Ferrers Road, SW16, received three years and four months for conspiracy to supply crack and heroin, plus possession with intent to sell cocaine.
Proactive Police Operation Cracks Down on Drug Network
Sergeant Nick Stylianou of the Specialist Crime North Proactive Team said: “This proactive operation uncovered a group dealing Class A drugs over ten months, living lavish lifestyles funded by crime. Our work shows our commitment to tackling drug supply, which fuels exploitation and serious violence causing untold misery.”
How the Gang Was Busted
The investigation kicked off when Pereira was stopped by police in Tottenham on 27 September 2022. He tried to flee but was caught. Officers found several wraps of Class A drugs and a phone on him.
Data downloaded from the phone revealed Pereira’s links to Ankrah and Moata, revealed as key players in the “Mikey” drugs line.
Pereira was initially released on bail but was arrested and charged on 4 October 2022. Ankrah was also arrested the same day after a phone linking him to the drugs line was discovered. Pereira was found to have contacted this number hundreds of times daily.
Moata was located and arrested on 18 October 2022 and transferred back to London.
Sergeant Stylianou warned: “I hope this sends a strong message — if you deal drugs, we will find you, arrest you and put you before the courts.”
