Woman Dies After Hit-and-Run Crash in Sidcup

Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal hit-and-run in Sidcup. The crash happened on Blackfen Road at 12:16pm on Saturday, 6 November.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

London Ambulance and Air Ambulance teams scrambled to the scene. A 52-year-old woman was knocked down by a vehicle that drove off without stopping.

She was rushed to a south London hospital but sadly died the next day, Sunday 7 November. A post-mortem will be arranged.

Suspects Caught, Released Under Investigation

The vehicle was tracked down later that day. Two men, aged 48 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Both have since been released under investigation. Detectives say no one else is wanted in connection with the crash.
