Thieves Raid Co-op for Ciggies, Booze and Footie Cards in Grain

The early hours of Monday, June 21 saw a brazen break-in at a Co-op store on Grain’s High Street. Crooks rammed the entrance with a vehicle before swiping cigarettes, alcohol, razor blades, and even football trading cards.

Police Hunt Ends in High-Speed Chase

Kent Police were on the scene just after 3am. They tracked down a suspicious BMW linked to the heist and launched a pursuit. The chase ended with the arrest of two men – Bradley Pearce, 39, and Jamie Turner, 38 – both with no fixed address.

Burglary Charges and More Theft Allegations

Both suspects were charged with burglary. Pearce faces an additional count after allegedly nicking bridal accessories from a Rochester shop earlier that week, around 12.15am on Thursday, June 17.

Court Appearance Looms

The pair pleaded guilty at Medway Magistrates’ Court on June 22. They are now remanded in custody, awaiting sentencing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date yet to be set.
