Two Men Nabbed with Firearm After Vehicle Stop in Ilford
Armed police swooped at Gants Hill Roundabout, Ilford, and arrested two men over a firearms offence. Michael Samuel, 38, from Dagenham, and Philip Clarke, 43, from Sutton, were both charged with possession of a firearm.
Drugs Charge Added for One Suspect
Michael Samuel faces an extra charge for possession of a Class A drug – cocaine. Both men made their first court appearance at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 6 March.
Remanded to Crown Court
The pair have been remanded in custody and are due back at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Monday, 6 April. The firearm was seized following a vehicle stop by armed officers on 1 March.
