Brutal Attack on Cameron Ends in Tragedy
On 15 March 2020, police rushed to Academy Road at the Shooters Hill junction in Woolwich after reports of a stabbing.
The court heard how Gruda, driving a car, knocked Cameron from his bike before Bridle, the passenger, leapt out and stabbed him multiple times. The attackers then fled, leaving Cameron to fight for his life.
Passers-by rushed to help until emergency crews arrived, but Cameron tragically died at the scene from a stab wound to the thigh, according to the post-mortem.
Detective Praises Public and Family
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Leonard said: “I want to thank the members of the public who came to Cameron’s aid and those who helped with this difficult investigation.”
“Cameron’s family has shown quiet dignity throughout the trial. I hope today’s verdicts bring them some closure and ensure these two dangerous men are off our streets.”
“Reducing violent crime remains the Met’s top priority. We work day and night to remove weapons, engage with communities and keep London safe.”
