Two People Charged with Theft of Medical Equipment in Widnes

Two people have been charged in connection with the theft of medical equipment from a paramedic’s medical bag in Widnes.

Arrests and Charges

  • Nicola Fargin, 45, of no fixed abode, and Peter Lunt, 55, of Eversley, Widnes, were arrested on Saturday, 11 January, following reports of stolen medical equipment.
  • Both suspects have been charged with theft from a person.
  • Lunt has also been charged with possession of a Class B drug (diazepam).

Court Appearance

  • Fargin and Lunt have been released on bail.
  • They are scheduled to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 31 January 2025.

Police Statement

Cheshire Police confirmed that investigations remain ongoing and urged anyone with further information to come forward.
