Cardiff Duo Jailed for Peddling Heroin and Crack Cocaine

Two Cardiff men have landed behind bars after admitting their roles in a heroin and crack cocaine supply racket.

Sentences Handed Down at Cardiff Crown Court

At Cardiff Crown Court on Friday, March 8, Daniel Lewis, 38, from Canton, got a reduced sentence of two years and eight months. Lewis Hicks, 32, from Fairwater, was locked up for four years and ten months.

‘Jimmy Line’ Drug Gang Busted by South Wales Police

The Cardiff & Vale Organised Crime Unit cracked down on an organised crime group known as the “Jimmy Line.” The gang was caught trafficking class A drugs on city streets.

Police revealed the group used dedicated mobile phones to coordinate their heroin and crack cocaine sales.

Gang Exploited Vulnerable Locals and Used Family Safe Houses

Daniel Lewis was the gang’s ringleader, with Hicks as his second-in-command. The pair exploited homeless and addicted individuals to keep their drug empire running, often threatening violence to maintain control.

Lewis used trusted family and friends’ homes to stash drugs and cash. He also cycled through various vehicles, including ones registered in other people’s names.

Mass Arrests and Raids Unearth Big Haul of Cash, Cars, and Bling

The months-long probe in early 2023 led to over 10 arrests linked to the Jimmy Line. On July 14 last year, eight simultaneous raids smashed the gang’s operations, seizing over £50,000 in cash, designer clothes, jewellery, multiple vehicles, and drug gear.

Luxury Lifestyle Exposed: Holidays and High-End Motors

Evidence revealed Lewis was living large on ill-gotten gains, spending more than £25,000 on five holidays since August 2022 and buying flashy cars worth tens of thousands.
