High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash and Arrests in Rochester

Officers on patrol in Delce Road, Rochester, clocked a Ford Focus speeding through a residential area at around 8.50pm on Tuesday, 30 July 2024. When the police ordered the driver to stop, the car sped off instead.

Chase Through Town Centre Ends in Collision

The pursuit tore through Chatham town centre before ending on Strover Street, Gillingham, where the Ford crashed into a parked vehicle. Police discovered cocaine, cannabis, and mobile phones inside the stolen car.

A man and a woman were arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

Drugs and Dangerous Driving Charges for Hartlip Duo

Jack Larkin, 31, and Mary Couchman, 21, both from Spade Lane, Hartlip, face serious charges. They’ve been charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply. Larkin also faces charges for dangerous driving, driving without a proper licence, no insurance, and handling stolen property.

The pair were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 1 August.
