Zero Tolerance on Prison Drug Smuggling
“We work in close partnership with the prisons and I hope the sentencing of Wilson sends a strong warning to those trying to get drugs or other banned items into prison,” said PC Morgan Horton.
“Both South Yorkshire Police and the prison service have zero tolerance for this criminality. We won’t hesitate to arrest and prosecute anyone caught bringing prohibited items into prison.”
John Hewitson, Serco Prison Director at HMP Doncaster, added: “I’m proud of our officers’ vigilance and professionalism in spotting this smuggling attempt. We take a zero tolerance approach to illegal goods coming into prison and work closely with the police to keep our facilities secure.”
