Young Child Assaulted in Canterbury Supermarket Car Park

Police are hunting witnesses after a young child was reportedly assaulted and suffered minor injuries in Canterbury.

The incident happened around 3.20pm on Wednesday 8 May 2019, in a supermarket car park on Kingsmead Road. The child was sitting in the back of a car when a man and woman nearby got into a heated verbal row.

Man Arrested Over Assault

The next day, officers arrested a 54-year-old man from Canterbury on suspicion of assault. He has since been released on bail until Wednesday 22 May 2019 as investigations continue.

Police Appeal for Witnesses
