Chaos at Crawley Shop: Four Injured in Broad Daylight Brawl

Police are hunting witnesses after a violent scuffle erupted inside The Emporium on Crawley High Street.

The drama unfolded around 3pm on Monday, December 6. Officers rushed to the scene following reports of a disturbance that left four people – including shop staff – needing medical attention.

Two Arrested Over Brutal Attack

A 36-year-old Crawley man was arrested for assault causing actual bodily harm, assaulting an emergency worker, and criminal damage. Meanwhile, a 29-year-old Crawley woman faces charges over assault and using threatening, abusive behaviour causing harassment and distress.

Both suspects have been released on conditional bail as police continue their investigation.

Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward

PC Josh de Valmency of Crawley CID said:

“This assault happened in broad daylight at a busy time when the store and surrounding area were packed with shoppers. It has left staff shaken, and we are supporting them as we investigate.”

He added: “The justice system depends on community support. Anyone who saw what happened or has footage on their phone is urged to come forward.”
