Woman Charged with Attempted Murder After Pedestrian Hit on A249
Kent Police have charged a 26-year-old woman with attempted murder following a shocking incident near Sittingbourne on the A249 at Bobbing Roundabout early Friday morning.
The terrifying event occurred at 5.22am on May 31, 2024, when a pedestrian was deliberately struck by a vehicle. Emergency services, including South East Coast Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene to attend to the injured man, who was later taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
Arrest Made; Serious Charges Filed
Police arrested Lauren Willis from Wollaston Close, Gillingham, on Sunday, June 2. She now faces multiple charges: attempted murder, two counts of actual bodily harm, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She is set to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 4.
