Man Found Dead in Southwark Park: Police Investigate
Officers raced to Hawkstone Road in Southwark shortly after 4.40am on June 23 after reports of an unresponsive man.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also attended the scene, but at 5.05am, the man was pronounced dead.
Death Treated as Unusual but Not Suspicious
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed the death is being investigated as unusual but not suspicious. The man’s next of kin has been notified.
Post-Mortem and Coroner File Underway
Police say a post-mortem examination will be carried out as soon as possible to establish the cause of death. A full file will be prepared for the coroner.
Officers have not released any further details at this stage.
