Young Man Shot Dead on Bravington Road, W9

Police rushed to Bravington Road, W9, at 11:06pm on Wednesday, 4 September following reports of gunfire. Officers and the London Ambulance Service found a man in his 20s suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:48pm.

His next of kin have been informed. A crime scene remains in place, along with road closures in the area.

Homicide Investigation Underway, No Arrests Yet

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, leading the homicide probe, urged locals to check their doorbell and dashcam footage for vital clues.

“The incident happened on a residential street. I’m sure someone may have captured footage that could help our investigation,” said DCI Jolley.

“If you saw or heard anything before or after the shooting, please come forward and speak to my team. We need to catch the person responsible for this horrific crime.”

Westminster Police Ramp Up Patrols

Detective Superintendent Dean Lanfear, head of Westminster local investigations, acknowledged public concern over the shooting.

“This awful violence will worry residents on this street and across Westminster. We are doing everything to catch those responsible,” he said.

He added:

“There will be an increased police presence in the area. Please approach officers with any information you have. Another young life has been lost to street violence, and his family are grieving. That is not right.”
