Pedestrian Hit by Bus in Busy Glasgow Street

A 40-year-old is fighting for their life after a collision with a bus on Midland Street, Glasgow.

The smash happened around 1:45pm on Saturday near the junction with Jamaica Street. Police rushed to the scene where the injured pedestrian was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

No Injuries for Bus Driver

The bus driver escaped unharmed, officers confirmed. Midland Street, which was packed at the time of the crash, was shut for seven hours before reopening.

Police Urge Witnesses to Step Forward

“The area was quite busy at the time of the incident, and I am appealing to anyone who has not yet spoken to police to come forward,” said Sgt Ryan McAuley.

He added: “If you were nearby and captured dash-cam footage, please get in touch.”
